Spanish name: Faro de Isla Hormiga
This lighthouse, located in Hormigas Islands to warn on the danger of sealing near this area, was first built in 1862 but destroyed soon after by a huge storm. In 1870 the new lighthouse was comprised of a 20-meter diameter building on which a 12-meter tower was placed, for a total height of 23 meters above sea level. The headlamp light can be seen from 8 nautical miles (14.8 km) and is generated by an automated power source supplied by 6 solar panels.
