The
Salzillo Museum is installed at the
Church of Our Father Jesus since 1957, this building was declared National Historical-Artistic Site in 1935 and the collections in it in 1962.
The building has a number of rooms where large sculptures by Francisco Salzillo (1707-1783) are exhibited. The sculptures, publicly displayed during Easter parades, are owned by the Fraternity "Our Father Jesus of Nazareth"; non-religious sculptures and preparatory sketches; a nativity scene made between 1780 and 1800 by request of Jesualdo Riquelme stands out for its beauty and for portraying Murcia's old farming traditions perfectly. The nativity scene, with over 500 pieces, was made by Salzillo and finished by his disciple Roque López.
