Panoramic Views from Monte Roldán

To enjoy these panoramic views, head for the Tentegorra-Monte Roldán route. The first part of the trail leads to Mirador de Roldán (Roldan Viewpoint), where you can take wonderful shots of the entire bay. This spot is in a Protected Wildlife Reserve known as “Sierra de la Muela, Cabo Tiñoso y Roldán” which has fabulous views of Sierra de la Muela and the impressive Tiñoso Cape in the background.

 

On the trail to the top of Monte Roldán, you will have vast views from Cartagena to Sierra de Carrascoy, where the land meets the waters of Mar Menor and its islands and La Manga del Mar Menor. Between the land and the sea, the beautiful peak of “Cabezo Gordo” emerges majestically in the middle of a plain that thousands of years ago was under the Mediterranean waters. Looking East you will see the Bay of Cartagena, Algameca Grande, the port and Escombreras.

 

If you get lucky and have a clear day, this is certainly one of the best viewpoints to enjoy the Mediterranean coastline of Murcia.
