Mushroom Picking in Sierra de Burete

Sierra de Burete, mountainous area between the towns of Cehegín and Bullas, is known for its abundant ground vegetation, including rosemary, honeysuckle, juniper and strawberry trees...but that's not all. In the Sierra there is a route starting in Albergue Coto Real where different types of white, brown and red mushrooms grow in the fall and winter...make sure to know which are edible! This is a wonderful, easy route where you can go alone or with your family; great for kids!
