A total of 225 hectares in the municipalities of
Calasparra and Moratalla, in the upper part of the Segura River. The area, known for its meadows with large colonies of black poplars, ashes, elms, willows and blackberry bushes, is home to beavers, dippers, kingfishers and Mediterranean pond turtles, among others.
The lush vegetation creates amazing forms that filter the sunlight which shines brightly on this magnificent place. It is also worth checking out the typical rice fields of
Calasparra and Our Lady of Hope Sanctuary.
