Moratalla and Calasparra
Spanish name: Sotos y Bosques de Ribera de Cañaverosa
A total of 225 hectares in the municipalities of Calasparra and Moratalla, in the upper part of the Segura River. The area, known for its meadows with large colonies of black poplars, ashes, elms, willows and blackberry bushes, is home to beavers, dippers, kingfishers and Mediterranean pond turtles, among others.
