El Salvador Parish Church

This was the first building outside the original Caravaca city wall, a Renaissance construction from the 16^th and 17^th centuries. The church, which is one of the city icons, has a hall with thin Ionic columns supporting the beautiful ribbed vault. The outside of the building with its crowned arches and columns, is also very nice. The full beauty and height of this temple can be seen from Cuesta del Castillo.
