Casino of Mula

This building, located in the Town Hall square, was used in 1741 as wheat storage in times of need, which explains its proximity to the town hall.

 

In the late 19^th century, the local merchant middle class purchased the building to turn it into a casino, awarding the renovation to architect Pedro Cerdán, who gave it a modern, distinguished touch that is clearly distinctive in the staircases, the ballroom and the reading area. In 1908 the Casino Association bought adjacent lots to expand casino services and the building structure, which after works had two wards and three stories, including two basements and two floors.
