Olive Grove in Abanilla

Together with Chícamo River, south of the Mahoya Orchard, sits one of the few Mediterranean olive groves which still has thousand-year-old olive trees that have survived due to abundant water supply from the nearby river and the irrigation ditches from the Roman period.

 

This area, well-taken care of by local farmers, is perfect for a number of trekking routes throughout the year.
