This 18th century building it is a typical example of civil architecture in Calasparra. It was constructed by the Master Architect (Alarife), Diego Gutiérrez, between 1730 and 1731. Its used to be a granary for the Order of St John of Jerusalem and belonged to the town. The bricks used in its construction underline the Mudejar influence in the town. It has an acute elevation and balanced character and currently houses the Archeological Museum.
