12th and 13th Centuries. The church of
San Miguel Arcángel was the forerunner of the Baroque style in
Murcia, with one single nave and side chapels connected to a rectangular structure through large spaces (giving a sense of amplitude), a cross and a straight head wall.
The St Michael the Archangel Church was part of a via crucis, from which only this church and the St James Footsteps Church remain.
