Roman Colonnade

Calle Morería Baja
30201 -Cartagena-

Spanish name: Columnata Romana

Roman Colonnade It was discovered by chance in the year 1957 during some works in the sewer system. Eight foundation blocks have been found, with four North-South columns that were part of a Roman building. Pedestrians used to go under the gate whereas road traffic went on the driveway, which is made of large streaked black limestone slabs also found during the excavations.
