Gran Hotel of Cartagena

Calle Jara, 31
30201 -Cartagena-

Spanish name: Gran Hotel de Cartagena

Gran Hotel Designed by the architect Víctor Beltrí and considered the most important modernist building in the Region of Murcia. Works were initially conducted by Tomás Rico in 1907 but after his death, they were continued by Víctor Beltrí in 1912. Only the facade remains from the original building; the inside was demolished to erect an office building.

The outside of the six-story building is made of brick an artificial stone with ornaments inspired in the modernism styles of France and Vienna. The zinc dome crowning the corner of the last floor is outstanding.
