On Easter Thursday the parade "
Murcia en Primavera" marches the city streets as part of
Murcia's
Spring Festivities. This parade, which pays tribute to the value of flowers in the Region of Murcia, used to be called
Batalla de las Flores (Flower Battle). Beautiful Murcian women on flower-decorated float parades throw over 200,000 flowers and presents to attendees. Flowers are supplied by producers and wholesalers from Murcia and/or neighboring regions. Music bands and groups of artists also take part in this parade, which usually runs through the following city streets and squares:
