The
beaches of Águilas are in a municipality of 28 kilometers of coastline in which there are 35 beaches with different types of sand and surroundings. The most beautiful one is
Cuatro Calas, in a gorgeous Protected Nature Reserve in the border with the province of Almería. The coast of Águilas has four large bays (South to North): SW beaches, E beaches,
Hornillo-Fraile Island and
Calabardina.
Heading North from the cape of Cabo Cope to the beautiful beach of Galera in the border with Lorca, there are many unspoilt coves, all in the Cabo Cope and Puntas de Calnegre Regional Park.
Easy car access from the RM-D15 to the beach of Charco in Cabo Cope. Once there, continue on the dirt road but be careful: the road leading to the North beaches (towards Lorca) is often visited by cycling and trekking lovers.
