Calle Santuario del Castillo
Yecla
Spanish name: Santuario Virgen del Castillo
Castle Chapel. Mariano Museum (19th & 20th centuries)
Rectangular, single-floor temple divided in three sections with pointed barrel vault shape. There is an image of the patron saint of Yecla from 1941 inside this lovely chapel. Some of the most interesting architectural aspects of this work are the throne, on which the Virgen de la Purísima sits, the Baroque altarpiece, the octagonal chapel of Holy Christ of the Sepulcher, the central facade and the side central gate towers with bells decorated by sculptures built in 1954.
