Spanish name: Teatro Circo de Murcia
Teatro Circo is an old venue used for a number of things over the years: theater, circus, boxing and wrestling ring, horse riding shows, cinema, public acts, exhibitions of wild animals and even at one point a large swimming pool in which the Benett sisters swam.
In 1908 Teatro Circo was transformed to be used mainly as a cinema until the 80s, although throughout the years it was also utilized for other shows. After its permanent shutdown in early 1984, the Murcia City Hall undertook a restoration process that concluded in early 2011 with the designation of Teatro Circo as municipal heritage.
