Small Monteagudo Castle

Avda. Alfonso X el Sabio, opposite the cemetery
Monteagudo
30160 -Murcia-

Spanish name: El Castillejo de Monteagudo

El Castillejo de Monteagudo This castle, located very near the Monteagudo Castle, is in a privately-owned lemon garden. Analyses carried out since the last century indicate the castle was home to the Wolf King, Ibn Mardanis, famous Muslim king who resisted various Almohad invasions in the 12th century.

The rectangular area where the castle sits used to have many recreational areas, gardens, orchards, pavilions and of course, the royal premises. Its architectural style is considered to be Hispano-Islamic, with hints of Nazari hints.
