San Esteban Palace 16th century. The architectonic complex was constructed as a college of Company of Jesus in 1555 on the initiative of the diocesan bishop Esteban de Almeyda, in honour of whom it took the name of the College of San Esteban. It was one of the first founded in Spain. Within it preserves an interesting renaissance cloister.

Following the expulsion of the Jesuits in 1767, it was occupied by the Company of the Queen's Dragoons, and was later used as a mental asylum.

Today it is the site of the Presidency of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
