18th century. It was located outside the city walls, next to the Door of Castile. Philip V gave to this monastery of the Brothers of Saint Anthony the title of Royal House and added the Golden Fleece to its shield.
The Cardinal Belluga gave this monastery the coat of arms and Francisco Salzillo y Alcaraz created the sculpture representing Saint Anthony which can be found inside the hermitage nowadays.
On Saint Anthony's day, people from the city and the outskirts take their animals to this hermitage to be blessed.
