Calle Puerta de Murcia
30201 -Cartagena-
Spanish name: Casa Pedreño
Palacio Pedreño (Carlos Mancha, 1872), is one of the architectural jewels of Cartagena. This Residential Palace of modernist style, built for an influential business person (Andrés Pedreño), was erected in a privileged location, in the crossroads between the streets Carmen and Sagasta. The house stands out in Cartagena's architectural physiognomy for its location opposite the street Puertas de Murcia as well as for its magnificent indoor and outdoor decoration. In 1890, the Palace was proposed as location for the town hall, but in the end it was decided to erect a new building. Casa Pedreño currently houses the Cultural Center of a banking institution.
