19th century. The church first had a Gothic appearance; it was renovated in the Renaissance era. Justo Millán was the architect who rebuilt it in the current Eclectic style in 1887. José Moñino, the Count of Floridablanca, was baptized in this parish. On the interior there are sculptures by Francisco Salzillo and Juan González Moreno.
It is the site of the Royal and Very Illustrious Brotherhood of Servants of Holy Mary of Sorrows and the Royal and Very Illustrious Brotherhood of the holy Sepulcher, which parade on the night of Holy Friday.
