The building, former public school
Río Segura, was restored by architects
Gil Torrano and
Guillén Guillén, who were assigned the project of turning it into the new municipal music school.
Restoration works of the old, deteriorated building included the installation of a new external perforated sheet structure through which the original facade can be seen. Locals call this building the "white light box" because of the light colors of its avant-garde hall and geometrical shapes.
