San Lorenzo Church

Calle de Saavedra Fajardo, 11
30001 Murcia
Telf:  968 218 685

Spanish name: Iglesia de San Lorenzo

Iglesia de San Lorenzo Temple of central plant with six ellipses that merge in the middle, covered by a dome and a light structure. It looks very similar to San Marcos Church in Madrid. In fact, both were built by Ventura Rodríguez, director of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in San Fernando. The style of this late 18th-century and early 19th-century church is neoclassical and late Baroque.

Some interesting features of the church are the simplicity, elegance and originality of its white and blue belfries and towers.
