Cope Chapel

30880 -Águilas-

Spanish name: Ermita de Cope

Cope Chapel This chapel, which sits North of the Cope cape and near the Cope watchtower, is considered to date back to the 16th-century according to some historians, although Felipe Palacios believes it was built between 1726 and 1741.

The chapel was used as a supply center for the local population and also as a religious temple where people prayed on Sunday.

The chapel and some wall remains 100 meters from it were found during the restoration of Cope watchtower.
