Concha Sandoval Square Following a contest to honour the embroiderers of Lorca, whose most notable works are the embroidery of the Semana Santa, the monument was made by sculptor María Dolores Fernández Arcas. Cast in bronze, it depicts a seated embroiderer, along with the instruments traditionally used. It was opened at Easter 1986.
