Building erected in 1740 on part of the King's Residence
The order to build a new headquarters for the Captaincy General of
Cartagena was sent in 1738. The project was assigned to the engineer Sebastián Ferigán, who designed the neoclassical facade in three bodies. The first body is known for its bolstered face and pilasters after the 19- and 20-century refurbishments. In the nice interior decoration the imperial staircase and main floor stand out. In the back there is a magnificent garden connecting to the street calle Real.
