Archaeological Museum of Murcia The Archaeological Museum of Murcia is located in the Provincial Palace of Archives, Libraries and Museums. It is a building created by the architect José Luis León and it was opened in 1953.

The important collections which are exhibited permanently are distributed in sixteen rooms and they cover the Prehistory and History of Murcia, from the Palaeolithic to the Christian and Visigoth Periods.

The Museum has got other facilities, such as a room for travelling exhibitions, a library, an assembly hall, a cafe and a shop.

- From Monday to Friday:
· 10:00 / 14:00 
· 17:00 / 20:00
- Saturday:
· 11:00 am / 2:00 pm
· 5:00 pm / 8:00 pm
- Sunday and holidays:
· 11:00 am / 2:00 pm
- December 24th and 31st:
· 10:00 am / 2:00 pm
Mondays closed
July and August afternoons closed
