Villanueva del Río Segura

As the Segura river runs through the valley of Ricote, there is an area where the river course widens: that is where Villanueva del Segura was founded. The origin of the villa, like that of the rest of the valley, goes back to the period of Arab domination. The streets of Villanueva have the scent of nature, the taste of water in summer baths and the charm of culture throughout the valley.
