Campos del Río

Torre del Reloj This little town dominated by the Arabs for centuries, has old remains that prove the presence of the Moors as far back as 1257. Campos del Río is largely agricultural; in fact, the town's economy relies heavily on the canning industry, which employs many of the locals. Live stocking, mostly the breeding of Murcian goats, is also an important activity in terms of revenue.

Visitors to Campos del Río could go for a stroll in Calle del Rosario to enjoy its stately homes. From there, you can walk up to the Castle, which was used as a watchtower in the 13th century, and is now a viewpoint offering spectacular views of a moonlike landscape dotted with orchards and ravines. Magical contrasts!
