Ceutí

Ceutí Located in the fertile mid-meadows of the Segura river, the written history of Ceutí dates back to the period when the Muslim kingdom was subjected by Castile. The role played by Muslims in this territory, which they called "Alquería de Zepti", was significant as they improved the irrigation system and created part of the irrigation ditches, still in use today. Modern Ceutí is one of the most vibrant municipalities in the Region of Murcia, especially because of its clear commitment to cultural development, evidenced by its important museums: Museo al aire libre (outdoors museum), with sculptures and murals by Spanish artists Manolo Valdés, Rafael Canogar, Pedro Chillida y Ouka Leele, Museo de las 7 chimeneas (7-chimney museum), describing the history of the canning industry,  and La Conservera (Cannery), meeting point for contemporary art.
